Jan 19, 2025 · So this isn’t Scrivener; it contains only a fraction of Scrivener’s features, and that fraction often works differently. It’s a scalpel to Scrivener’s Swiss army knife. And because it uses a different text system (and thus a different file format) and steers its own course, this isn’t a “Scrivener Lite”, either. It is its own thing.

Oct 26, 2023 · Kinsey, Generally, I agree wit you. I, too, don’t think I have a need for a ‘slimmer’ or ‘core’ version of Scrivener UNLESS it runs on a tablet. I would get more mobility. I would prefer to see the desktop/laptop version of Scrivener get an integration with Grammarly or other powerful grammar/spelling checker, OR an inclusion of more AI. Grammarly is going in this direction …

Aug 2, 2022 · In re-reading the book now, I still feel that some parts would benefit from judicious wielding of an editorial scalpel. But the epistolary/diary structure works really well, I think. Some sections read like a very engaging travelogue. And I enjoy the mixture of folklore, horror, psychiatry and science.
